BattleBit Remastered Playtest dates and time – When can you play it?

BattleBit Remastered recently released a schedule containing the date and time for their playtest of the game. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait for long.

BattleBit Remastered’s developers announced that they will be holding a Stress Playtest for the game. For those not familiar with the term, online games usually do stress tests to see if their servers can handle a huge amount of players playing at the same time. For this game, the latest Stress playtest will happen on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 6:30 AM to 12:30 AM PDT. While this might not seem like a lot of time, this is actually the norm for this game. Instead of the usual approach of holding long periods of playtesting, they instead prefer short bursts, which lets them improve the game and fix any issues in between tests. The game is available on PC via Steam. You also signup for the playtest here.

The following are the updates that they have recently added to the game:

Attachment unlock requirements have lowered across the board
All weapon skins have been reworked
Brand new models for some weapons were added to the game
Skins UI rework underway
Prestige System unlocks – this will be available once the game launches on Early Access
Hovering over items displays a preview of said item on the weapon model

Normally, short 3-hour playtests happen throughout the week leading up to the stress test. These 3-hour playtests are definitely not short, and you will be able to get quite a few games in.  Sadly, however, they will not be holding any 3-hour playtests this week.  Make sure to signup for the playtest as soon as you can so that you can download the game. Once you have, just wait for the playtest to begin. While waiting, you can check out the game’s offline firing range to test out the various guns the game has to offer. I have personally spent hours in there trying to master the sniper mechanics. The developers are constantly balancing and making changes to the game, so do make sure to try it out.

In the recent update, the developers released their progress report on the game (taken from their steam post):

Trailer recordings are going slow, initially we tried to outsource it to a professional team, however financially we couldn’t meet their requirements. Patreon money is reserved for playtest + early access servers and other expenses (legal fees, advertisement/promotions during EA, other services, etc), so we are creating the trailer on our own with help of community members who have experience. With the help of our Patrons, we’ve held recording sessions and created test trailers, going through an iterative process to build the best we can.
We’ve been in contact with multiple Anti-Cheat Providers, we’ve since found one that suits our needs but we are still making arrangements that will take time.
Game Server DDoS firewall was created, there are some minor problems, but mostly it’s ready to be finalized and deployed on all our servers.
Backend is stable and ready for the Early Access.

They also mentioned that there “is not much left for Early Access release”, which means we might be seeing the game out on Early Access soon. Of course, there’s still no definite date on this, so we will be sure to update you once a date has been announced.

Let me give you a quick rundown for those unfamiliar with the game. BattleBit Remastered is a first-person shooter in the vein of the Battlefield series. Players take part in 32 vs 32, 64 vs 64, or even 127 vs 127 battles. These battles happen over a large map, with Capture Points as the main game mode. Players fight over various objectives and must also hold them against the enemy. Respawns take up tickets, which are available to each team in a finite amount. Once those tickets run out, the game is over. Of course, the team with the remaining tickets wins the match. It’s a very fast-paced first-person shooter, however, it is one you will definitely want to play. If you want to learn about our first impressions of the game, then you can read our article on it.

That’s all the information we have about the upcoming date and time for the stress playtest of BattleBit Remastered. Players can join the BattleBit Remastered Discord Server and follow their Twitter account for more details. Players can also go to the game’s Patreon to support the game for $15 a month. This gives players access to Patreon-only content in-game, sneak peeks of upcoming releases, and a key for the game once it goes on Early Access.
